We can hardly contain our excitement. Not only is The Great British Baking Show returning to Netflix, but for the first time ever, viewers in the U.S. won’t have to wait to watch the newest season!
On Tuesday (August 27), The Great British Bake Off (as it’s called in the UK) will be returning to television for its 10th season. With veteran judge Paul Hollywood at the helm, the show will air in the UK every Tuesday. BUT….unlike seasons past, American fans will be able to watch each episode week-to-week as they are released to Netflix three days after airing in the United Kingdom.
The new may come as a disappointment for those who prefer to binge-watch the show, but die-hard GBBO fans who want something to look forward to each week will be rejoicing!
The new bakers of Season 10 were revealed last week. What’s even more surprising than the fact that 13 bakers will be heating up the tent, is the fact that the cast is overwhelmingly young. With the exception of 56-year-old HGV driver Phil, all of the other contenders are 40 and under.
So, head on over to Netflix and start up that subscription if you don’t already have one. If the promo video below is any indication, we’re in for one heck of a ride!
